As part of me altering my current piece I began to listen through and match this up with an Avicii track. I heard that my structure was slightly off and what should have been “the drop” turns out to be a chorus on my track. I took a high piano rhythmic part that wrote for the chorus and then began to hold it into a 8 bar loop to become the synth part.
I didn’t have to modify it a lot so it became syncopated, all i really needed to do was to change the octave and quantise some of the notes.
